On The Edge currently boasts a customer base that includes over 100 university groups and organizations, including the University of Missouri, Miami of Ohio, Iowa State, Iowa, Tulane, Southern Mississippi, and many more. Because the business has grown so much, we are offering great career development and money making opportunities to current students in the four categories listed below. If you are interested in an internship, it is very important that you are time-sensitive and can work well both in a team environment and independently. Also, internship candidates must have exceptional communication skills.

• Sales and Marketing

  You will learn about marketing techniques, margins, purchasing, advertising, etc. Necessary training will be provided to get you started and ensure your success. Work with your personal organizational affiliates and university but also think about ways to increase your book of business by working with area high schools, church groups, city organizations, other colleges, etc. You will earn commission on new accounts sold.

• Graphic Arts/Web Design

  You will design logos, design brochures, t-shirts, web graphics, and more. Some experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and graphic production is required. If you would like to gain experience in the in-demand field of web design, we prefer that you have some experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery. You will be paid per project.

• Copywriting

  Use and enhance your editing and creative writing skills as you assist with slogans, copy editing, social networking, web site content, personalized columns, etc. Payment will be based on project and submission.

• Programmer Analyst

  Gain valuable experience in web-based backend/database programming for a variety of web-based applications. You must be able to perform within a team environment. Looking for strong skills in HTML/DHTML as well as experience in JavaScript/JSON. This position calls for Object Oriented Programming. The ideal candidate should also have strong familiarity with .Net (C#), SQL, MS SQL 2005 and Ajax. This position will be paid per project.
